This site is a tribute to Elizabeth Clark. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
Our darling sister Lizzie passed away peacefully in the early morning of Monday 12th June at Five Ashes Cottage Hospice. During her final weeks she has been surrounded by family day and night and held in the strong love that binds us together.
Lizzie died with the dignity and strength with which she faced her illness over the last three years. She was a brave, kind, generous and fun-loving woman. She said she started her days in Five Ashes and it was fitting to be ending them there too. She called the hospice her 'departure lounge'...
We will all miss her so much but are blessed and grateful to have had her in our lives as a sister, auntie, great auntie and friend.
Five Ashes Cottage Hospice is the most beautiful place where our Lizzie was treated with such care, gentleness and respect by the nursing team and other staff. As a grieving family we were also supported and cared for throughout by the whole team during Lizzie's final journey and it felt like a warm home from home, especially for those of us who stayed overnight with her.
